Skydance Paramount Plans to Eliminate Around 2,000 American Positions – Report
Paramount Skydance is scheduled to begin mass layoffs during the week starting 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 American roles within a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August worth $8.4bn.
More global layoffs are likely, as the firm planning to announce full details in its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.
Prior news suggested that Paramount was looking to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by the beginning of next month.
Until December 2024, Paramount employed about 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 contract workers.
